August events – Edinburgh Festival appearances, Doune the Rabbit Hole, and special night in Glasgow in aid of the Alliance for Middle East Peace

Hello from Serbia, where I’m currently Writer in Residence in a gorgeous wee village called Trsic in the west of the country, close to the Bosnian border. I’ll be returning soon and am appearing at a number of different events at the Edinburgh Festival in the second half of August, also one or two others. Some of these have been unconfirmed until recently so I thought I’d post about them all at the same time. Along with my own events relating to Bring Me the Head of Ryan Giggs and the dazzling international Elsewhere project, I will be chairing some fine writers, and recommend their events too. All at Charlotte Square Gardens, Edinburgh, unless stated otherwise. So:
