There are a series of launches, festival appearances and one-off events throughout 2012. These are being regularly added to so please check this page for updates. I’ll keep the past events on here as a record, in case I forget what I’ve done in my own life. This is perfectly possible.

JANUARY :
25 – Bad Language Collective live night, headlined by Socrates Adams @ The Castle Hotel, Manchester. Rodge doing a short teaser from the new novel.
FEBRUARY:
2 – Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow – ‘In Process’ event for graphic novel, Dougie’s War. 7pm start, hosted by the Scottish Writers’ Centre. FREE. Joint with Dave Turbitt.
25 – The Arches, Glasgow. A Barca v Man United event with Graham Hunter Sky Sports journalist and Spanish football specialist, whose book Barca: The Making of the Best Football Team in the World, is published by Backpage Press. 12pm, £3. Part of the Margins Book and Music Festival. SOLD OUT.
26 – Part of cast for Alasdair Gray’s Fleck. 6pm, Oran Mor Auditorium, £12. Finale to Margins Book and Music Festival. Playing the part of Toady.

9 – Dougie’s War Workshop: How to Write a Graphic Novel, 1pm, £15/£12. Part of Write Now Conference, associated with the Aye Write! Book Festival, Glasgow.
11 – 15.30-17.00 Joint event, ‘Inside the Divide’. Appearing alongside Richard Wilson and Alan Bissett in a debate on the topic of Sectarianism, racism and homophobia in football. Chaired by Willy Maley, £8/£7. Part of Glasgow’s Aye Write Book Festival.
13 – Reading from Alasdair Gray: A Secretary’s Biography, at Linlithgow Burgh Halls. 7-9pm, The Gallery Rooms. FREE, but ticketed.
APRIL:
